Office Framing Frenzy and Blessing

From Thursday, August 13 through Saturday, August 15, 2009 local volunteer contractors lead by Rusty Dukes of Dukes Lumber worked to take the new office from foundation through framing. At midday on Thursday, a blessing of the building was held complete with the release of doves. On Saturday, volunteers from Citi Group joined in the build. Sussex County Habitat for Humanity is grateful to all the volunteers who gave their time and talent to make the Framing Frenzy a success. Also, we offer our thanks to St. Paul's Episcopal, Grace United Methodist and Georgetown Presbyterian Churches for providing lunches for the building site volunteers. We truly appreciate our new neighbors.
